Our New Podcast Series

Calling all curious minds! MycoWorks is expanding to a new media format and opening doors to new audiences

It’s an exciting time here at MycoWorks. We’re thrilled to share our story with you in a whole new way.

Today, we’re launching MycoWorks Talks, our new podcast featuring casual, connected conversations between people in the MycoWorks universe. It’s our way of sharing an inside peek into what we’ve never shared before: secrets, moments of discovery and connection and unscripted stories that make us who we are today—so you can listen in.

MycoWorks Talks is a space to feed your wonder and curiosity for a new class of materials. We’ll share stories about our product, technology, our incredible team, brand partners, and much more. For each episode, Xevi Gallego, our VP of Brand Marketing, will host talks with people in the MycoWorks universe, taking you on a behind-the-scenes journey of candid, unfiltered conversation.

In our pilot episode, “Unfiltered Origin Stories,” our host Xevi takes listeners on a journey to the origins of MycoWorks, with guests Sophia Wang, MycoWorks co-founder and Chief of Culture, and Matt Scullin, MycoWorks CEO.

“It’s a weird story,” says Matt in the podcast, right before launching into a tale about a chance meeting at a Dr. Octagon show and an invitation to a basement lab in San Francisco.

The episode is an unfiltered version of our origin story, exploring MycoWorks’ deep connections to art, music, San Francisco community, and what Sophia calls “weirdo research into science.”  Listen in as Sophia and Matt share their insights on how to build a company diverse enough to make the coolest thing possible.
